The 65th International Astronautical Congress 2014, the world's premier space event, will take place in Toronto, Canada from September 29 to October 3, 2014 at the award-winning Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The Congress theme “Our World Needs Space” will promote an exploration of the relationship between Earth and space and the ways that space activities help to meet our needs on Earth.

The Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI) is proud to host IAC 2014. CASI has had the priviledge of hosting two previous IACs, both to great acclaim: IAC 1991 in Montreal, and more recently IAC 2004 in Vancouver.

SGAC will be hosting their 13th Annual Space Generation Congress (SGC)a few days before IAC 2014.

Date: September 25 to 27

Location: Holiday Inn Yorkdale Hotel in Toronto, Canada. Click in the SGC Accommodation Page, to secure your booking.

The SGC Gala dinner will take place at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, on the Saturday 27th September at 7.30pm.

Visa Applications

Please check the information on Visiting Canada and Visa Application for important details on applying for Visa’s. Participants are encouraged to apply for Visa’s as early as possible to expedite the processing.

Participants have a choice of submitting a visa application online (e-application), at a visa office or at a Visa Application Centre (VAC).

Visa Application Centres (VACs) can help applicants fill out their forms and answer questions about the application process, reducing the rate of returned documents.

To check for a VAC services in your area visit the visa office website.

This unique global international collaborative platform brings together experts active in industry, government and academia, as well as many retirees and amateurs of space.

IAC 2014 will provide an excellent opportunity for participants from around the world to network and present their latest accomplishments and future plans, identify opportunities for collaboration, and share their opinions on the widest possible array of topics.
